Queen’s University students who facilitated Gaelic Games competitions on the lawn

Our Open Days on Thursday 11 and Friday 12 September gave every Upper 6th student in Northern Ireland the opportunity to find out more about the courses we offer, the range of sporting, cultural and social activities available, and the excellent facilities and services which will help you make the most of student life

in addition to the academic information, the GAA Clubs & Academy ran skills demonstrations & competitions on the lawn in front of the lanyon to showcase the players & what is on offer at the University.

Competition winners

Football – Saoirse Conway from Loretto College, Omagh
Hurling / Camogie – Christy McNaughton from St Killian’s Garron tower
Football – Eoin Lambert from St Mary’s CBS
Hurling / Camogie – Deaglan Murphy from St May’s CBS

Around the music, prominent Academy players such as Niall McKenna, Caolan Daly & Fionnuala McKenna were interviewed and gave an insight into life as a high performance player and the support in place for students at Queen’s University.
