Leinster Hurling comes to the Dub

The Dub will break new ground this weekend when its hosts a first round Kehoe Cup clash between Queen’s University and Down, the first Bord na Mona Leinster Series fixture to be held at the Upper Malone playing fields.

Nominally a home fixture for the men from Mourne, their opening fixture of the 2014 season has been moved to the new Academy Pitch and it will represent the students’ first step in preparation for an assault on the Ryan Cup on home soil. The Academy pitch will host the Fitzgibbon and Ryan Cup finals next month as part of the Queen’s University GAA Festival – more details can be found here:
